We are a community of geothermal stakeholders who strive to promote the use of renewable energy in Indonesia. In line with the government's policy to increase the use of new and renewable energy, particularly geothermal energy with a reserve of more than 27,000 MW, the government issued a policy through Presidential Regulation No. 4 of 2010 which mandates the acceleration of the construction of 10,000 MW of power plants, of which almost 40% is using geothermal energy.

To achieve this national energy development policy, it is essential to have maximum SYNERGY among geothermal stakeholders. To achieve this synergy, we need a medium to realize it, one of which is through a relaxed and friendly meeting, where every geothermal stakeholder can enjoy and participate in with honesty and sincerity for the noble goal of geothermal development in Indonesia.

The achievement of this noble goal can only be achieved if all geothermal stakeholders are in good health, that's why while socializing, we also play golf together. This is why the presence of the Indonesia Geothermal Golf Community (IGGC) is necessary to strengthen the friendly relationship among geothermal stakeholders.

The initiation of the IGGC was started from the speech of the Director General of New, Renewable and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), Mr. Kardaya Warnika, in the Geothermal Stakeholders Friendly Golf Tournament (GSFGT) on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Damai Indah Golf-BSD. The Director General of EBTKE, who represented the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia at that time, hoped that events like GSFGT could be continuously implemented in the future, not only focusing on the luxurious implementation but also the routine of meeting and socializing while playing golf among all members of the big family of Indonesian Geothermal.

The support from the executive level of companies engaged in the geothermal energy sector for the establishment of IGGC is increasing. That's the background story of the existence of IGGC and also as the FOUNDER of IGGC, is the Founding Board of IGGC itself.
