IGGC Bring Golf Fun to IIGCE 2023

Jakarta, Indonesia - The annual Indonesia International Geothermal Convention and Exhibition (IIGCE), held from September 20 to 22, 2023 was a significant event for Indonesia geothermal professionals. But this year, it offered more than just serious discussions about geothermal energy thanks to the Indonesian Geothermal Association (INAGA) and the Indonesia Geothermal Golf Community (IGGC).

INAGA and IGGC teamed up to create a unique experience at the event. They set up a booth featuring a golf simulator, adding a touch of fun to the geothermal gathering.

While IIGCE typically focuses on discussions about sustainable energy sources, this time, participants had the chance to enjoy a golfing experience. The golf simulator turned the convention into an interactive and enjoyable affair.

Visitors to the booth had the opportunity to play golf on the simulator. Even though it wasn't real golf, it felt remarkably close. The simulator showcased stunning virtual golf courses on a large screen. Attendees could practice their swings and even play a few virtual holes. Competitions, such as longest drive and nearest to the pin, were held throughout the event and the winners were rewarded with IGGC exclusive merchandise. People had a blast attempting hole-in-ones and testing their skills to see who could hit the ball the farthest. It was a refreshing departure from the typically serious conventions about geothermal energy.

INAGA and IGGC set out to show that geothermal energy discussions can also be infused with fun and entertainment. While we are dedicated to environmental preservation and the advancement of geothermal energy, we recognize the value of adding an element of enjoyment to the equation. By introducing golf to the IIGCE event, we seamlessly merged their enthusiasm for geothermal energy with a dose of lighthearted amusement.

If you ever thought geothermal events were all serious and no play, INAGA and IGGC at IIGCE 2023 definitely proved you otherwise. Our creative idea showed everyone the fun side of geothermal gatherings. It's a reminder that even in serious discussions, a touch of playfulness can make things much more enjoyable. See you next year!
